There is a lovely legend that tells of how the lilac flowers first appeared thanks to Spring driving away the Winter snows and raising the sun high into the sky. As the mist and the light came together, a rainbow appeared. Spring then gathered sunbeams and rainbow colors, and scattered them across the earth. Where white and violet fell, small fragrant pale lavender flower bushes appeared; in other places where white landed, there were white lilac bushes. The pale lilac was said to bring enchantment and faithfulness. It was believed that a bath in lilac water would enable one to catch a glimpse of a future love.

Each botanical is hand-made with meticulous care. It can take ½ an hour to cut the pieces for each flower, another 12 hours to dye, paint, dry and steam the petals, then up to 2 hours to construct the various parts into a finished piece.
The realism is in our attention to details. Petals, Stigma, Stamen, Stems: These are the parts our designers spend the most time perfecting. It’s what makes Prestige Botanicals stand apart.
