Aka as Winter Rose or Hellebore

The legend behind this flower is perhaps one of the most moving.    As the Wisemen made their way to Bethlehem they invited a shepherd to travel with them.  In not having a gift, he thought to find flowers along the way.  Sadly, because of the bitter coldness, this was not the case.  Distraught he cried and where his tears touched the ground, beautiful flowers almost like roses appeared.  Overwhelmed with joy, the Shepherd picked and took these ‘Christ-mas Roses’ as a gift for the baby Jesus.

In the language of flowers, they represent protection and good year ahead.

Darling little whitish bloom that still blush with hints of early crisp green Spring. 

• The long stem is designed to be folded whichever way you need it to go, and back again. It can easily be folded up on itself (and back) to more easily fit into your container, or trimmed entirely with a pair of wire cutters
