I was fascinated to learn that the parrot tulip come into being all because a little green peach aphid attacked a bulb and caused a virus, thus create the tulip commonly referred to as the feathery parrot.

In the language of flowers, they represent true and perfect love.

And as an aside, not many flowers have black stamens, but the tulip does and it was once believed to mean ‘lover with a burning heart’?

This is a delicate botanical. Handle it as though it were a real Tulip.
