I have always found the Peony to be a flower of total fascination and one that never fails to surprise. How could tightly bound little round balls, revealing nothing more than slightly tinged flicks of colour, emerge as they do, into exquisitely magical blooms?
In the language of flowers, they are symbolic of industrious hard work.
This stem of budded flowers is mainly milky white, but holds a promise that perhaps on maturity it might like to be cream. The outer petals are a combination of raspberry red and pale pink and hold promise of great things to come.
