Ancient Greek mythology tells the story of what happened when Venus´ son Cupid was stung by a bee. In fright, he accidentally fired off an arrow which hit a rose causing it to grow thorns. When Venus walked through the garden, she inadvertently pricked her foot on a thorn. The droplets of blood fell on a rose, turning it blush pink.

In the language of flowers this rose represents a maiden’s blush.

The colors of this beautifully shaped cluster of roses and buds reminds me of a honeydew melon that has been gently kissed by a ripening peach, and then cooled slightly, thanks to the mint green tinged outer petals.

  • The long stem is designed to be folded whichever way you need it to go, and back again. It can easily be folded up on itself (and back) to more easily fit into your container, or trimmed entirely with a pair of wire cutters
