AKA as protea or leucosperums reflectum/cordifolium

This beautiful texturally interesting flower is native to South Africa. Officially called Leucospermum cordifolium but is known in the floral world as pincushion protea. The name Leucospermum is from the Greek words leukos meaning white and sperma meaning seed.

When you initially look at this eye-catching beauty the petals appear spiky, but on closer inspection they actually look like pins pushed into a cushion. 

In the language of flowers, it represents warmth and power.  

  • The long stem is designed to be folded whichever way you need it to go, and back again. It can easily be folded up on itself (and back) to more easily fit into your container, or trimmed entirely with a pair of wire cutters
  • Not designed for outdoor use
